This site is dedicated to Pastor and Mrs Wong, of the First Ithaca Chinese Christian Church.
Celebrating his 85th birthday and their 60th anniversary on this last week of Sept 2004, they have dedicated their whole life to building and nurturing the church, which now effects the world via the many generations of Chinese students and leaders that the church has touched.
My tribute to Rev. and Mrs. Wong
On this joyous celebration of your 85th birthday and 60th marriage anniversary,
our family wish to extend our deepest respect and warmest thoughts to
you two and your family.
It was due to your vision, dedication, nurturing, and continual
hardwork that the Chinese Church in Ithaca has formed, lasted through
many storms and trials, continued on, and grow to its present mature
ministry. Through your faithfulness and love, FICCC has become God's
powerful instrument to effect the world, by drawing closer to Jesus
the many generations of Chinese students and leaders who went on to
different parts of the world. Every member of your family has
contributed such big parts of your lives to the church and to the
people in the congregation, that you are all role models for the rest
of us.
Furthermore, your vision to care for alums and provide ongoing network
has prompted me to start the website chinese-christians.com(munity),
which serves as a tool to allow anyone to publish and communicate with
others. I am dedicating this site in honor of Pastor and Mrs Wong.
